From DXF to delivered parts in four steps

No sales calls and no quoting forms. The full process is explained on our How It Works page.

1. Upload your DXF

Drag and drop your file into the quote tool. The platform reads cut length, pierce count and geometry automatically — no manual data entry.

2. Choose material, thickness & quantity

Pick from IS/BIS-certified mild steel, stainless, aluminium, brass and copper. Add bending, powder coating or hardware in the same order. The price updates live.

3. Check out securely

Enter your delivery pincode for real-time shipping rates and dates, then pay via Razorpay — UPI, credit/debit card, net banking or EMI.

4. We cut, inspect and ship

We run DFM checks, nest your parts and start fabrication. Every order goes through dimensional QC before despatch, and you can track it from your portal.

Prepare your DXF for laser cutting

Clean files quote faster and cut right first time. Full rules are in our design guidelines and the DXF checklist.

File Preparation

Export as DXF (R12 or later) at 1:1 scale in millimetres. All geometry in one layer. Remove text, dimensions and title blocks. Closed contours only — open paths will cause errors.

Minimum Hole Diameter

Minimum hole diameter = 1× material thickness. For a 3 mm plate, min hole = 3 mm. Smaller holes may not pierce cleanly.

Minimum Slot Width

Slot width ≥ 1× material thickness. Narrow slots trap molten material and cause dross.

Kerf Compensation

Our CAM software applies kerf offset automatically. Upload true-size geometry — don't pre-compensate.

Feature Spacing

Keep features at least 2× material thickness apart. Closely spaced holes weaken thin webs and cause warping from heat.

Parts You Will Bend

Include bend allowance in the flat pattern. See how to calculate bend deductions, or add CNC bending to your order.

Pro tip: Our free DFM check flags thin webs, tiny holes and open paths when you upload your DXF — before you place the order.

Online laser cutting in India — FAQ

How do I get a laser cutting quote online in India? ▾
Upload your DXF (or DWG, SVG, AI, EPS) to the Fyord quote tool, choose material, thickness and quantity, and the price appears instantly — typically in under 30 seconds. No account is needed to start, and the online quote is your final price.
Which cities in India do you deliver laser-cut parts to? ▾
We ship pan-India from our Bengaluru facility. Lead time is 2–5 days for simple jobs, 3–5 days with powder coating and 7+ days for specialised coating or finishing. Shipping time and cost are then added based on your pincode in the cart, and express shipping is available to most metros.
What file format is best for online laser cutting? ▾
DXF is preferred for 2D laser-cut parts: 1:1 scale in millimetres, closed contours, all cut geometry on one layer, and no text, dimensions or title blocks. DWG, SVG, AI and EPS are also accepted. See our DXF checklist for every setting.
What materials and thicknesses can you laser cut? ▾
Mild steel 0.5–20 mm, stainless steel 304/316 0.5–12 mm, aluminium 5052/6061 0.5–10 mm, and copper and brass 0.5–6 mm. For thicker sections we recommend waterjet cutting.
Is there a minimum order quantity? ▾
No. There is no minimum order quantity — we cut single prototypes as readily as production runs, and the per-piece price drops as quantity increases.
Do I get a GST invoice? ▾
Yes. A GST invoice is provided for all orders. Displayed prices exclude GST; GST at 18% is added at checkout, and B2B customers can enter their GSTIN for input tax credit.
